The Somaliland Information Management Center (IMC) has released the Weekly Weather Forecast valid from 05 to 11 May 2026. The outlook indicates light to moderate rainfall in selected parts of Somaliland, particularly in Sool (Xudun, Taleex, Laascanood, and western Caynabo), central parts of Zeylac and Sheikh, and limited areas of Sanaag and Togdheer. Meanwhile, dry conditions are expected in parts of Gabiley, southeastern Hargeisa, and eastern Berbera districts. Recent rainfall has contributed to improved soil moisture, water availability, and pasture conditions, supporting agricultural activities and livestock productivity. However, uneven rainfall distribution remains a concern, with some areas still facing moisture stress. The forecast suggests continued recharge of water sources, vegetation recovery, and localized improvements in livelihoods, particularly in eastern regions receiving rainfall.
