The Somaliland Information Management Center (IMC), in collaboration with partners, has released the Weekly Weather Forecast valid from 11 to 17 April 2026. The forecast indicates that light rainfall is anticipated in most parts of Somaliland, with moderate rainfall expected in limited areas of Hargeisa district, eastern parts of Sheikh district, and southern parts of Berbera district. Meanwhile, several areas, particularly in Laascanood, Xudun, Taleex, Caynabo, and parts of western Zeylac, are likely to remain dry. The outlook suggests positive impacts on soil moisture, crop development, pasture regeneration, water availability, and livestock productivity, while also warning of possible transport disruption and increased livestock disease risk in wetter areas.
